Family Arts Night: Jazz + Paper Paintings
The Rob Thorsen Jazz Quartet features some of San Diego’s best jazz musicians who educate families on the history of jazz, improvisation and its cultural contributions.  After the performance and taking the lead from Henri Matisse’s book “Jazz”, explore the artwork of this famous artist containing prints of cut-paper collages. Using bright, bold colors, Stacie Greene shows families how to use Matisse’s technique of making bold and colorful paper cut-outs.
